Bought to replace a pair of Grisport meteor boots, (Same last, but no longer manufactured).. trying to match a size 10 with Grisports euro sizes, a 44 was just too small, and a 45- which is listed here as an 11- was about right, 10.5 I'd say? I'd be sliding about in an 11, but these stay on my narrow heels without slipping, and there's comfort across the foot at the other end.These soles by vibram are still not worn through on the five year old boots, but getting close- I'm hard on footwear. The cleats don't hold gravel and mud, but are a little slippy on wet stone? These aren't 'serious' hiking shoes, but great for a long day's wandering, smart enough for town without looking like Sherpa Tensing, but waterproof for wet grass, puddles, and rainy days.Great all-round shoes, quality materials, if they don't last I'll be back for a grumble- but I doubt it.
